Feeding and Eating Disorder Accessibility Support and Treatment
FEAST Act handout-Proposed Legislation 2027 Indiana General Assembly
Mandate insurance companies, Medicaid, and managed care organizations contracted to administer Medicaid benefits cover feeding and eating disorders. Prohibit denial or restricted coverage based on body weight measurements. Include coverage for medical services, psychological/mental health therapies, pharmaceutical care, and nutritional counseling by licensed professionals in the outpatient setting, along with coverage for bundled and comprehensive services at all treatment levels of care.
